The CRO Forum celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2014. Keynote speakers were invited to the anniversary event, exchanges of views and information took place and discussions were held. Three interviews with individuals closely associated with the history and success of the CRO Forum are reported in this publication. The first interview is with former Chairs of the CRO Forum, CROs Tom Grondin of Aegon and Tom Wilson of Allianz who talk about their experiences with the CRO Forum, its achievements and its future. The second interview is with Raj Singh, now CRO at Standard Life in the UK, who in his capacity as CRO at Allianz, was involved with the Forum before it even officially existed. The third interview is with Karel Van Hulle, Head of Insurance and Pensions at the European Commission, who highlights the contribution of the CRO Forum to the Solvency II process. Summaries of discussions on three core subjects, namely Risk Management, Cyber Risk and Regulatory Risk are also included. The event was attended by two excellent guest speakers; Sarah Stephens of Aon and Gabriel Bernardino, Chairman of EIOPA. Looking at the future of the CRO Forum, it is anticipated that the main goals will remain the same however the focus will change over time.
