The CRO Forum announces a change in their chairmanship
Allegra van Hövell – Patrizi has stepped down as Chair and member of the CRO Forum following her appointment as CEO of Aegon the Netherlands, effective immediately.
Andreas Märkert, formerly Vice-Chair of the CRO Forum, was elected as Chair on 18 June 2021 and will serve the standard term of one year.
Andreas is Chief Risk Officer of Hannover Re Group and Managing Director of the Group Risk Management division. He joined Hannover Re in 2004 and has had several positions focusing on Hannover Re’s economic capital model and capital allocation. Andreas holds a PhD in Mathematics and is member of the German Actuarial Society.
Commenting on his new role as Chair for 2021/22, Andreas said: “I am greatly honoured to take the Chairmanship of the CRO Forum and thank my peers for their trust. I will endeavour to ensure that the CRO Forum continues to play its key role in the development of risk management best practices and remains an important voice in the policy discussions of relevance to our community.”
Peter Giger will remain Vice-Chair of the CRO Forum. The newly vacated second Vice-Chair position will be filled in due course.
